We know language matters in mental health, but to what extent? Would you believe that 67% of Americans think that people with schizophrenia are dangerous and likely to be violent?

Despite increased public understanding of the biological origins of SMI and efforts to destigmatize mental health conditions, stigma and misconceptions around severe mental illness persist.
